I can’t quite believe my baby will be turning three in just a couple of weeks, although she has been telling anyone who will listen that it’s her birthday soon for the past three months. When it comes to presents though I was a bit stumped to begin with. When my son was this age all he ever wanted was lego and hot wheels cars, you knew exactly where to look for his presents. L doesn’t really have any one particular interest and flits from one thing to the next so I have had to do A LOT of looking around to find some things that I think she will be happy with. To save you the leg work I have created a list of my favourite finds.

10 Brilliant Birthday Gifts For 3 Year Old Girls

Kiddies Kingdom Rocking Horse With Sound – Chestnut*

Kiddies Kingdom Rocking Horse With Sound-ChestnutI just had to kick it off with this one. What little girl doesn’t want a rocking horse? I have such fond memories of the one I had as a child and I can’t wait to see L’s face when she unwraps this one. The fact this one makes sounds as well is an added bonus and I know she is going to love it.  This particular one is suitable from 1 and a half yrs old so she should be able to get on and off herself. There is also a large version that’s suitable from ages 2-8 and you can choose from a few different colours. This one is currently retailing on Kiddies Kingdom at £59.95 and if you can find it cheaper elsewhere they’ll not only match it but give you an extra 15% off too.

Club Pets Funny – Bam Bam The Hamster

I actually only discovered this little gem today and had to order it straight away. It’s a fairly simple toy in that all you do is give it a squeeze and it starts shaking and bouncing and making funny noises, but I watched a youtube video with a kid in fits of giggles over it and new L would love it. I also can’t wait to see what the dogs and cats make of it! You can pick up Bam Bam from amazon for around £15-17.

Fair Trade Wooden Whale A to Z Jigsaw Puzzle*

Fair Trade Wooden Whale A to Z Jigsaw Puzzle by Lanka Kade

I have admired these amazing wooden puzzles for years but had only ever seen them in the shape of a dog. These ones by Lanka Kade come in number of new shapes to me though, aside from this whale there is also a crocodile and a dragon. If you would rather have numbers instead of the alphabet they do these in the shape of a dog, a train, a whale, an elephant, a dinosaur and more. I love the bright bold colours and the fact that it can stand up on its own. It’s also huge at 51.5cm long and I love that’s its a fair trade product too. At the time of posting, this particular puzzle is £19.99 from borngifted.co.uk

Neverland Fairy Fancy Dress Costume

M has always hated dressing up and only ever makes an exception for halloween. L on the other hand has recently shown an interest in all the costumes the supermarkets kindly have on display all year round now and every time we come to the end of a toilet roll she dons a pirate hat and uses the empty roll as telescope. She’s also a huge tinker bell fan (she’s never actually seen the film or cartoons but her favourite pants have her on and she’d wear them every single day if I let her), so this Neverland Fairy costume looks perfect. Its currently on amazon for £12.49.

Stretchkins*

Stretchkins Classic MonkeyStretchkins puppyThese adorable cuddly toys are actually pretty big (77cm) and your child can attach their hands and feet to the hands and feet of the toy and it will stretch to their size, hence the name. These a such a great idea and I can just see L dancing round the living room with hers. They come in a number of different characters so there is definitely one to suit every child. We opted for the monkey as I’m always calling L our little monkey, but there may just be a ballet bunny one coming her way too. The monkey, unicorn and puppy versions are are currently £19.99 each in Argos but if you act quickly they have a 2 for £30 deal running.

Goki Balancing On The Moon Basic

L has recently started trying to stack and balance everything so when I saw this little game it was like serendipity. It’s only small which I think will be great for packing in a bag on a day out or a trip to see the grandparents. A far as I can tell all you do is take it in turns to roll the dice and then balance a corresponding colour block onto the moon. A nice short and simple game and at £8.95 it seems pretty good value.

Hallmark itty bittys – Super Hero Girls*

Hallmark itty bitty super hero girlsI love the itty bitty range of plush minis from Hallmark and now they have just released a brand new collection of super hero girls. You can get Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl and Harley Quinn. They are so cute and super soft. You can get them on Amazon individually for between £6-8 pounds or the whole collection for £22.99 while stocks last.

Melissa & Doug Design-Your-Own Bangles Bracelet-Making Set

I love Melissa & Doug toys and always find them good quality and entertaining. I’m not great when it comes to getting the crafts out but L loves making things and as these are just stickers you place of the bangles I don’t have to have a panic attack over glitter and glue covered furniture (or cats!). At £4.99 you can’t go wrong really.

Tangle Cherub Hair Brush*

Tangle Cherub hairbrushTangle Angel hairbrushes has ve been around for quite a long time now but did you know they also do smaller versions called Cherub’s? I didn’t but the minute I saw them I knew L would love them. She loves trying to brush her own hair at the minute but struggles with the comb she has and my brush is a bit and the bristles too hard for her. As a lover of all things pink and girly she will love the colour and design, and I love that its antibacterial and anti-static and can even be used in the shower. You can also get it in fuchsia, metallic turquoise or white. They’re currently on Amazon for £7-10.

Orchard Toys Shopping List Game

Orchard Toys are another firm favourite of mine and more than a few of M’s friends received these games for birthday’s when they were younger. L is only just starting to take an interest in sitting down to play a game but it needs to be something fairly short and easy or her focus quickly shifts to something else. She loves ‘helping’ with the shopping when we go out so this one should be a hit, as well as another bargain at just £6.

Kids Rabbit Apron*

Kids Rabbit ApronL is just beginning to get interested in helping out in the kitchen and I would love to start doing more baking with her. I also have a love of all things personalised so this handmade apron was perfect as you can have it personalised with any name up to 15 characters. There are so many different aprons to choose from on giftpup.com and they’re all £14.99 including the personalisation. If none of the characters take your fancy you can even upload your own child’s photo. I also love that they are machine washable and have safety poppers on the neck strap to prevent accidents.

So there you have it, I think I am going to have one very happy little girl on my hands in a couple of weeks. Is there anything you would add to this list?

*Disclaimer – some of these items (marked *) were gifted to me for inclusion within this list, but I only accepted items I knew my daughter would love and all thoughts and opinions are my own in accordance with my disclosure policy.
