Welcome back to the weekly #funseekingkids round-up post. This is where I will share my  4 favourite photos linked up to mine and Susie’s (This Is Me Now) Instagram Community. If you missed the launch post and have no idea what I’m talking about you can read it here: #funseekingkids – A New Instagram Community.

This week has been crazy busy for me and I’m afraid to say I’ve barely been on Instagram at all (slaps wrist) but I have just been catching up on all the amazing photos linked up this week and there are some real beauties in there.

I can’t quite believe my baby will be turning three in just a couple of weeks, although she has been telling anyone who will listen that it’s her birthday soon for the past three months. When it comes to presents though I was a bit stumped to begin with. When my son was this age all he ever wanted was lego and hot wheels cars, you knew exactly where to look for his presents. It was an emotional post for me and highlights just why truly listening is so important. There are so many great quotes from people far wiser and more eloquent than me on the subject and I have compiled the most inspiring ones here:

Each week we change the words/quote/saying that we are displaying on the noticeboard in our kitchen; these are the words we try to live by individually and as a family that week. Some weeks may focus on lifting our mood, others may be about motivation or attitude to life; something that speaks to us on some level and that we can directly apply to our lives. Our lives are so busy at times that it can be all too easy to focus only on the negative and tiring things that have happened during the week. I know I say this every week,

If your kids are anything like mine, when it comes to holidays you will be asked several times a day how long it is until you go away. Well, now there’s a way for them to visually see how many more sleeps are left and get hands on in the countdown.

Like most kids, my son loves playing board games but it’s something we very often don’t think to do. So, when I was asked if I would like to become a member of the Blogger Board Game Club (click the badge in my sidebar for more info) I jumped at the chance. Each month I will be sent a new board game to test out and give my honest review of on the blog, giving us that much need push to get playing together.
