If your kids are anything like mine, when it comes to holidays you will be asked several times a day how long it is until you go away. Well, now there’s a way for them to visually see how many more sleeps are left and get hands on in the countdown.

review of Sleepzzz Until Holiday Buddy Bear

The Sleepzzz Until Holiday Buddy Bear comes all dressed for holiday (you can get a boy or girl version) and a handy little chart for them to hang or prop up in their bedroom. Starting two weeks before you are due to leave, the chart has tear away slips letting your child know how many sleeps they have left, all they have to do it tear one off each morning (or fold it over if you want to keep it/re-use it). There are also some fun stickers included in the box that can be added to the chart to reward for good behaviour, with a space underneath to write down why they have received the special sticker.

L playing with her Sleepzzz Until Holiday Buddy Bear

L doesn’t normally form strong attachments to her teddies, preferring to pick a different one from her pile each day/night, but she absolutely loves this bear and has carried her everywhere since she got her. We also have a Birthday Buddy Bear ready and waiting. She has been saying it’s her birthday soon for the past two months so I’m really looking forward to giving her this one next week so she can start counting down herself.

There is also a Big School Buddy Bear to help with the countdown to that big scary/exciting move into school and I’m sure we’ll be getting that next year too.

Do you have a holiday coming up? How do you help your little ones with the countdown?

*Discliamer: I was sent each of these bears in exchange for my honest review in accordance with my disclosure policy.

  1. That’s a cute idea!
When we have a countdown my kids just ask me the same question a million times until I threaten to take the holiday away. :))
