I don’t know about you but I am absolutely obsessed with GIFs and can usually find one for pretty much any occassion. Whether they’re funny or cute, they always make me smile. So I thought I’d share with you my favourite GIFs for every Christmas occasion.
Decorating the Tree
I love getting the tree up and the house always feel so Christmassy afterwards. But every time we start and I’m battling with the lights I wish I could just click my fingers and it was done … or just throw everything at it like the woman below.
I love how in movies the father gently lifts the small child and they place the star/angel on top and them everyone stands back and admires it in all its gloriousness. Has that ever been anyone’s reality? If I try and lift one of my kids up the whole tree is going to end up coming down. And is it even possible to get it on straight?
Wrapping the presents
I love buying presents and I love watching people open them. Wrapping the presents? Not so much. It can be fun for the first 20 minutes but when your still bent over wrestling with the stuff 2 hours later you never want to see another sheet of wrapping paper or roll of tape ever again. The quality of the wrapping definitely goes down hill after the first ten or so. Although that could be the wine it’s compulsory to drink while doing it.
I cants stop watching the GIF below, I know it’s a trick and completely impossible but I really want to try it 😂.
<< me presents are really tricky to wrap. Should you ever need to wrap up a cat, the below GIF should help. Although I imagine most cats would take your eyes out if you even attempted it, so maybe give this one a miss.
I know, I know, not strictly a Christmas ‘occasion’, but no GIF collection would be complete without the cats.
We don’t seem to get carollers around here, but nothing says Christmas like the gremlins in their winter hats.
Last minute shopping
Every year I swear I will be more organised, and every year I suddenly realise I’ve run out of time and start panic buying, even though I’ve actually already bought enough. It’s like some kind of frenzy. I’m actually off out today to get the last bits I need from the shops and stock up on wrapping paper. I still have a few adults to buy for but that will all be done online, away from all the crazy last minute shoppers.
Christmas morning excitement
When I was a kid I was always the first up on Christmas morning and would quickly run and get everyone out of bed, full of excitement. I expected the same from my kids. But no, every year without fail I find myself clock watching from 5am waiting for at least one of them to wake up. In the end I have to get them up, it’s just not right. I want more excitement. Although maybe not quite so much as in this first GIF.
Midday on Christmas
Once the presents are opened it’s that boring stage where you have to clear away the wrapping and start making the dinner. There’s always someone who doesn’t seem quite in the spirit. Then you crack open the good stuff and everyone is ‘merry’ again.
So there you have it. My favourite Christmas GIFs. I had fun putting these together, it’s fueled my obsession, I may have to create one for every occasion ;).
Do you have any favourite Christmas GIFs? Head over to my Facebook page and share them in the post on there, I’d love to see them.
